Welcome to the Nursery & Preschool Ministry of Independent Presbyterian Church!
It is a joy to provide loving and nurturing childcare to our members, friends and visitors. Our goal is to take great care of your children and their needs in a way that helps them feel comfortable and happy so that you may worship without worry or concern.
The nursery is located on the first floor of our building on the east side near the Avon entrances. You will see Room Assignments signage when you enter the nursery, and this will help you easily find your child's appropriate room. The children are divided by age group/birthday, so your child will be with other children his/her age.

| Sunday Mornings - A fully staffed nursery serves infants through preschool age children during Sunday morning services(8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) and Sunday evening services (5:30 – 7:15 p.m.). The nursery provides a nurturing environment by a nursery staff that is trained and supervised and who give loving care and attention to all of our little ones. The nursery environment is clean and sanitized regularly to help ensure each child’s health and safety. |
| Sunday School - The Nursery and Preschool Ministry provides a year-round Sunday school program led by volunteer church members that begins teaching children when they turn 18 months old. The core of the children’s Bible learning, where the children are taught simple biblical truths, occurs during the Sunday school hour (9:45 to 10:45 a.m.). The children are also taught during the 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. worship services. If you are interested in serving in this teaching ministry and are a church member, please contact Cindy Wright - cindy.wright@indepres.org |

| Tuesday Mornings - The Tuesday Bible Study for Children is a special time when they are taught a Bible lesson, make a craft and enjoy music while their mothers attend the Women of the Church (WOC) Bible Study, which is held during the school year. Throughout the Bible Study series, the children create their own devotional notebook, which is a compilation of all the lessons/crafts in the series. The Mom’s the Word Bible Study is held in early summer for four to six weeks and is a topical study for mothers of young children. A children’s program is held during this time and is similar to the Tuesday Bible Study for Children that takes place during the school year. |
| Wednesday Evenings - Children who are three, four or five years old participate in choir instruction in the nursery conducted by volunteer adult choir members. The children may participate in a Christmas program and a Spring program. A six week Early Childhood Music Program is offered to youngsters ages 18 months to three years old as an introduction to music and choir. Both of these choir programs occur during the school year. Nursery care is available during all Wednesday Evening Fellowship Dinners, Bible studies, and special Wednesday night programs between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. |

Momz ‘n Kidz - This ministry provides an opportunity for moms and their preschool age children to have a time set aside just for them to do something fun together at church, such as cookie decorating, crafts, etc. It is usually held on the mornings of WOC luncheons that occur on various Tuesdays throughout the year. Nursery care for younger siblings is provided during this time.
Miscellaneous - A variety of special needs arise from time to time in the lives of IPC members with small children. The Nursery Ministry is able to minister to these families by providing childcare during these times of crisis and need.
